MISSION Field measurements and adjustments that are Faster, Easier, Safer.

Evergreen Telemetry is dedicated to doubling the productivity of industrial technicians in HVAC, TAB, building commissioning, building automation, process control, weather monitoring, and other applications.  These challenging work environments demand faster, smaller, and more convenient tools.

Evergreen Telemetry is dedicated to giving field technicians the great tools that they need for complex tasks.  Tools that eliminate wires and tubes.  Tools that reduce weight and time.  Tools that make measurements faster, easier, safer, and more accurate.  This is accomplished by employing leading edge technologies in sensors, batteries, RF network management, and embedded control electronics.

The goal of doubling technician productivity can be accomplished by getting the needed data where they can see it and act on it.  It should be faster and easier to commission buildings and improve energy efficiency.  Too much time is wasted in back-and-forth measurements and repetitive adjustments.  With our products, a tech deploys sensors, finds the problem, makes the correction while viewing the real-time results, retrieves the sensors, and moves on.

In other words, do it right the first time.

Evergreen Telemetry provides a new type of portable instrument, one that leaves a busy field technician’s hands free to grasp tools or adjust a control knob.  A stream of real-time data is displayed on the user’s wrist from battery-operated remote probes.  The company takes aim at “handheld” meters with a “hands-free” system for improved technician productivity.

The company offers a family of unique probes that are designed to be placed precisely at or on the point of interest.  For instance, a tiny sensor (2” on a side) can probe into a duct or even be placed entirely on a duct air handler, where it makes temperature and humidity measurements every two seconds.  The technician wears a display on his wrist that shows the results in real time as he climbs a ladder to adjust the damper or fan speed.

Evergreen Telemetry eliminates the time wasted by typical measurement practices in which a tech holds a meter in one hand and a probe in the other hand.  He makes a measurement at the point of interest and detects a problem.  He moves to the fan or damper or other control point and makes an adjustment.  Then he returns to the point of interest and makes another measurement to determine if the adjustment was successful.  If not, the process is repeated.  A lot of time is wasted by this back and forth, especially if the control point is far from the point of interest, which is common.

No time is wasted with the new wireless modules, which transmit results across the room or across the building, through walls, ceilings, and other obstacles.  The technician selects from a variety of tiny probes.  Difficult placements are accomplished with the help of small clips, magnets, Velcro, or adhesive strips.  The probes measure at set intervals, usually two seconds, and transmit the results wirelessly to the Wrist Reporter™ (patent pending).  The Wrist Reporter is worn on the user’s arm where it is easy to see and store the measurements while leaving the user’s hands free to drill a hole or adjust a lever.  Even the storing of readings is hands-free—a slight squeeze of the user’s thumb against another wearable module, the Thumbswitch (patent pending), stores the current reading.  Up to 100,000 measurements can be stored with timestamps, and uploaded to a PC spreadsheet.  The power of these products and features to speed up the measurement process is shown dramatically by the nearby video demonstrations.

The Wrist Reporter can display as many as eight readings simultaneously from eight different sensing probes. An application such as room-to-room balancing can be accomplished much faster and easier.
